Meet Our Provider
Dr. Phua Xiong is one of the first Hmong women physicians in the United States and a trailblazer in culturally responsive care and community commitment. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis in 1996 and completed her residency at the University of Minnesota's St. Joseph's program in 1999. In 2002, she founded St. Paul Family Medical Center, a community-rooted clinic dedicated to serving Hmong families and diverse populations across the Twin Cities. Under her leadership, the clinic has become a trusted medical home for compassionate, personalized care for many people.
Legacy of Leadership & Advocacy
Dr. Xiong is deeply vested in the training and development of the next generation of clinicians. She has mentored and precepted medical students, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants—instilling clinical rigor, empathy, and professionalism in every learner she guides.
